Creating a New Quotation
1. Navigate to Quotes
• From the left navigation menu, go to Sales → Quotes, then click + Create.
2. Enter Quotation Details
• Quote No. (Auto-generated or enter manually, if applicable.)
• Quote Date
• Valid Till date
3. Select the Client
• Choose the client from the Billed To dropdown.
• Verify the customer's billing address and GST details.
• Select the Place of Supply.
4. Configure Quote Settings
On the right panel:
• Select the Quote Status (e.g., Draft, Sent).
• Choose the Currency.
• Select the quote type:
• One Time
• Recurring Quote
5. Add Products or Services
• Select an inventory item from the Description dropdown.
• Enter the Quantity and Unit Price.
• Apply Discount, if applicable.
• Enter the HSN/SAC code.
• Verify the applicable GST, CGST, SGST, and CESS values.
• Click Add another Item to include multiple products or services.
6. Add Project (Optional)
If the quotation is related to a project, click Add Project and select the relevant project.
7. Review Totals
SmartLedger.ai automatically calculates:
• Subtotal
• Discount
• CGST
• SGST
• CESS
• Extra Discount (if applicable)
• Grand Total
• Amount Due
8. Save or Create the Quotation
• Click Save as Draft to save the quotation for later editing.
• Click Create Quote to generate the quotation and make it ready for sharing.
Note
• You can edit or update a quotation later if it has not been converted into an invoice or finalized.
• Quotations can be shared with customers via email or downloaded as a PDF for offline sharing.
