              Browse all Dashboard →

Beyond Overview, the dashboard has seven tabs that look at profit, cash, efficiency, tax, growth, risk and AI insights. Open them from the tabs at the top of the dashboard or from the Dashboard panel in the sidebar.

These tabs always cover the current financial year (April to March); the date picker changes only the Overview tab. Hover over the info icon next to a tile's name for a short explanation. A tile shows N/A or a dash when SmartLedger doesn't have the figures it needs.

              Profitability

              • Gross Profit Margin, Operating Margin, EBITDA Margin and Net Profit Margin — the share of revenue left after the cost of goods sold, after operating expenses, before interest, tax and depreciation, and after everything.
              • Revenue by Client — which clients bring in the most revenue.
              • Profitability Margins Trend and Income vs Expenses — how your margins, income and expenses have moved month by month.

              Liquidity

              • Working Capital, Current Ratio, Quick Ratio and Cash Flow Ratio — whether your current assets and cash cover your short-term liabilities. Quick Ratio leaves out inventory.
              • Days Sales Outstanding and Days Payable Outstanding — the average days customers take to pay you, and you take to pay suppliers. Cash Conversion Cycle is the gap between the two.
              • Cash Realization Rate — the share of revenue actually received as cash.
              • Accounts Receivable Aging and Accounts Payable Aging — dues split into 0-30, 30-60, 60-90 and 90+ days.

              Efficiency

Asset Turnover Ratio shows how efficiently your assets generate sales: the higher it is, the more revenue each rupee of assets brings in.

              Taxation

              • Total Tax Liability — your outstanding tax: net GST payable plus other tax payables such as TDS.
              • Tax Paid (YTD) — tax already paid this financial year.
              • Tax Due — what's left to pay.
              • GST Payable — GST due for payment next month.
              • GST Receivable — input tax credit you can use to reduce your GST liability.

              Growth & Performance

              • Revenue Growth (YoY) and Revenue Growth (QoQ) — revenue compared with the same period last year and with the previous quarter.
              • Customer Growth — how much your customer base has grown through new clients.
              • Customer Lifetime Value — the revenue you can expect from a customer over the whole relationship.
              • Customer Retention Rate and Churn Rate — the share of customers who stay, and who stop buying.
              • Add-On Revenue Growth — growth in extra sales to existing customers.
              • Revenue Growth Trends — each month of the year compared with the same month last year.
              • Customer Metrics — new, retained, churned and expanded customers.

              Risk & Compliance

              • Debt-to-Equity Ratio — your debt compared with your equity.
              • Total Debt Ratio — the share of your assets financed by debt.
              • Bad Debt Ratio — the share of receivables you're unlikely to collect.
              • Debt Ratios Trend — how your debt-to-equity ratio has moved month by month.

              SmartInsights

SmartInsights uses AI to read your sales invoices, purchase invoices and assets, and flags signals you might miss. It's part of the Pro and Max plans; on other plans the tab shows a locked preview.

              1. Open the SmartInsights tab.

              2. Under All Smart Insights, read the one-line summary of each insight.

              3. Click an insight to open it.

The full view shows Details:, a Recommendation:, and Take Actions buttons to jump to your invoices or vendors. Use the thumbs-up and thumbs-down icons to rate the insight.

If your books have changed since the insights were made, click the refresh icon (Refresh Insights) to bring them up to date.

              Tips

              • These figures are only as good as your books. Record purchases, payments and opening balances, and reconcile your bank, for the ratios to mean something.
