Three inventory reports help you act on your stock: what to buy again, what isn't selling, and where each batch or serial unit is. Open them from Reports → Inventory in the sidebar, then pick Low Stock & Reorder, Dead Stock or Batch & Lot-wise. Click an item's name in any of them to open it in Inventory.
Low Stock & Reorder
Which items do you need to buy again, and how many? The report lists every active item that tracks stock and is out of stock or at or below its reorder level, as at the end of the selected period (or today). These are the same items the Inventory page flags.
- Severity — All below reorder, Low stock, Out of stock or Negative stock.
- Category, Item and Vendor — narrow the list.
How the columns are worked out:
- Suggest PO — the quantity that refills the item to twice its reorder level.
- Days Left — what's on hand divided by the average daily stock out over the period, from sales and stock taken out by hand.
- Last Vendor — the vendor on the latest purchase invoice the item came in on.
The Est. Reorder Value card prices the suggested quantities at the last purchase price, or the item's purchase rate. Items without a reorder level get no suggestion; set one on the item in Inventory.
Dead Stock
What stock is just sitting there? The report lists items that still have stock on hand but have had no stock in or out for the chosen number of days, with what that stock is worth at the purchase rate.
- No movement for — 90+ days, 180+ days (the default), 270+ days or 365+ days.
- Min value — Any value, or only items worth ₹1,000+, ₹10,000+ or ₹1,00,000+.
- Category and Item — narrow the list.
Each item is marked No movement or Never sold (it came in but has never gone out on a sale). Stock given back when an invoice is edited or deleted doesn't count as movement. The cards show Dead SKUs, their Carrying Value, Avg Days Idle, Never Sold and the Longest Idle item.
Batch & Lot-wise
Where is each batch, and when does it expire? The report lists every batch of your batch-tracked items and every unit of your serial-tracked items, for expiry checks, quality checks and recalls. Batches show what's left, earliest expiry first.
- Expiry window — All batches, Expired, Expiring in 90 days, Expiring later or No expiry date.
- Show — In stock, or All, incl. used & sold to include used-up batches and units that have left.
- Item and Category — narrow the list.
The period starts on All Time and picks stock that came in during it. To trace a recall, choose All, incl. used & sold: each serial unit that left shows the invoice it was sold on, or why it was written off. The cards count Active Batches, batches Expiring Soon and Expired, the Batch Value, and Serial-tracked units in stock.
