              Creating a New Category

Organize your purchase transactions by creating categories and subcategories for better tracking, reporting, and expense management.

              1. Open the Categories Module

Navigate to Purchases from the left sidebar and click Categories.

              2. Start a New Category

Click the + (Create Category) button to open the Create New Category form.

              3. Enter the Category Name

In the Category Name field, enter a unique and descriptive name for the category.

              4. Add a Category Description

Provide a brief description explaining the purpose of the category in the Category Description field.

              5. Select a Category Color

Choose a Category Color from the dropdown list to visually identify the category.

              6. Choose a Category Icon

Select an appropriate Category Icon from the dropdown to represent the category.

              7. Add Subcategories (Optional)

Click + Subcategory to create one or more subcategories under the main category, if required.

              8. Create the Category

Review the entered information and click Create Category to save the new category. Once this is done, the new category is added to your purchase categories and is available for assigning to purchase invoices, expenses, and other purchase-related transactions.
