If you are moving from Zoho Books, you can connect your Zoho Books account and pull its data straight into SmartLedger. After a first full import you can run incremental imports or let SmartLedger sync on a schedule. Prefer not to connect your account? Upload Zoho Books spreadsheet exports instead.

              Before you start

              • Importing from Zoho Books is available on every plan, including Free.
              • Open the SmartLedger company you want to import into. The Zoho Books organisation must have the same GSTIN as this company.
              • If you use an ad blocker, turn it off. The app warns that integrations may not work properly with one on.

              Connect Zoho Books

              1. Open Smart Integrations from the sidebar.

              2. Click New Integration and choose Zoho Books.

The Zoho Books page opens. If Zoho Books is already in your list, click its row instead.

              3. Under Select Zoho Import Source, find Zoho Books API and click Connect via OAuth.

              4. Sign in to Zoho and allow access.

Back in SmartLedger you'll see "Zoho Books connected successfully!" and the Select Zoho Organization window opens.

              5. Choose the organisation marked GST Match and click Confirm Selection.

If you pick an organisation marked GST Mismatch, you can't import it into this company. Use Switch Company to open the matching company, or Create Company to set one up. If no organisations are found, click Connect Different Account and sign in with another Zoho login.

              6. Click Start Import, or Go to Dashboard to import later.

              Run an import

              1. On the Zoho Books page, click Import Data and choose Import from Zoho Books.

              2. Choose Full Import the first time. Incremental becomes available once a full import has completed.

              3. Under Modules, keep everything selected or untick what you don't need. Select All and Deselect All toggle the whole list.

Modules are grouped as Setup & Master Data, Sales & Receivables, Purchases & Payables, Banking & Finance, and Recurring & Other.

              4. Click Start Import.

The Import Jobs tab shows each job's status, record counts and errors. Click View details to see the records, Cancel to stop a running job, or Retry a failed one. Fetched records are delivered into SmartLedger automatically.

              Keep it in sync

              1. Open the Settings tab.
              2. Turn on Automatic Sync.
              3. Choose a Sync Interval, from Every 1 hour to Every 7 days.
              4. Click Save Changes.

Automatic sync needs a completed full import first.

              Tips

              • Change Org on the Overview tab lets you pick a different Zoho Books organisation.
              • If you see "Your Zoho Books connection has expired", click Reconnect to Zoho Books.
              • Disconnect Zoho Books in Settings cancels active imports and removes the connection. Data already imported stays in SmartLedger.
