Practice → Overview is your firm's home screen. It lists every client company your firm manages, and from here you add new clients and open any client's books.

              Add a client company

Firm owners and admins can add clients.

              1. In Practice → Overview, click Add Client. The same button sits at the top of the Practice side panel.
              2. Enter the client's GSTIN (optional).

When the GSTIN is verified, the legal name, trade name, PAN, constitution, taxpayer type, address and state fill in for you. If it can't be verified, enter the details by hand.

              1. Check the Trade name, which is required, and the other details: Legal name, PAN, Company type, Constitution of Business, Taxpayer type, Registered address and State.
              2. Leave Add to the firm's plan pool on so the company uses your firm's plan, or turn it off to keep it on its own Free plan.
              3. Optionally enter the Owner full name, Owner email and Owner phone number.
              4. Click Review details.
              5. Check the summary and click Create company.
              6. Click Done, or Add another to add the next client.

              Find and open a client

The Clients table shows each client's name and GSTIN, its Plan and whether its usage is pooled with the firm. A green tick next to the GSTIN means it's verified. Search by client name or GSTIN.

              • Click Open books to open the client's workspace in a new browser tab, starting at its dashboard.
              • Or click the client's name under JUMP TO CLIENT in the Practice side panel.
              • Inside a client's books, click Practice at the bottom of the left rail to return to your firm.

              Manage a client's plan pool

Click Manage on a client's row to open Manage client company.

              • For a pooled client, you see its metered usage, such as SmartUploads, counted against the firm's shared pool. To take it out, click Remove from Pool, then Accept. It goes back to its own Free quota, and usage already drawn from the pool stays counted.
              • For a client outside the pool, click Accept under Share usage pool with this company? to include it.

A pooled client stays on its own Free plan; only its metered usage counts against the firm's pool.

              Tips

              • The Active Clients card at the top shows how many client companies your firm manages.
              • Team members see only the clients assigned to them. Someone with no clients yet sees No companies assigned yet until an owner or admin gives them access in Settings → Users.
