The CA Practice App is SmartLedger's workspace for CA firms and accounting practices. Your firm gets one place to manage every client company's books, compliance and team work, so sign the firm up once and add your clients and colleagues to it.

              Create your firm account

              1. On the SmartLedger sign-in page, click Sign Up.
              2. Under How do you want to sign up?, choose Sign up for CA Practice App.
              3. Enter your Firm work email and click Send verification code.
              4. Enter the 6-digit code from your inbox and click Verify & continue.
              5. Under Firm details, enter your Firm / practice name and ICAI membership no.
              6. Enter Your full name, Phone number, Password and Confirm password.

The password needs at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number. A symbol is recommended.

              1. Tick the box to accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, then click Create firm account & continue.
              2. On the welcome screen, click Open Practice.

              Your free trial

When the firm is created, SmartLedger starts a 7-day CA Pro trial for it. It also sets up a first client company named after your firm, on its own 7-day Plus trial. The welcome screen shows both.

If the trial can't be started automatically, you see the Get your practice live page instead:

              1. Choose CA Plus, CA Pro or CA Max.
              2. Confirm the plan and fill in your billing details.
              3. Click Verify with card / UPI to authorise a card or UPI AutoPay through Razorpay, or click Skip for now — start the trial without verifying.

Nothing is due today. With a verified card or UPI mandate, the plan is charged automatically when the trial ends.

              What your plan includes

The firm's left rail has Practice, Compliance, Work and Settings. Compliance is included in every CA plan. Work needs CA Pro or CA Max. A section your plan doesn't include shows a lock and an upgrade button.

              Invite your colleagues

Only firm owners and admins can add members.

              1. Go to Settings → Users.
              2. Click New member.
              3. Choose a Role.
              4. On the By Email tab, type each colleague's email and press Enter.
              5. For roles that only see assigned clients, pick their Client companies. This is optional; you can grant access later.
              6. Click Add member.

Each person gets a verification email and sets their own password. To share one link instead, open the By Invite Link tab, choose the role, click Generate invite link and copy the link. Click Revoke link to stop it working.

Join a firm you've been invited to

              1. Open the invite link from your email, or the link your firm shared.
              2. Enter your email and click Send verification code.
              3. Enter the 6-digit code and click Verify & continue.
              4. Enter your name, phone number and password, then click Join firm & continue.
              5. Click Open Practice.

If you see Invalid firm invite, the link has expired or been revoked. Ask your firm admin for a new one.
